FATHER-IN-LAW SHOT AT AND INJURED HIS FEMALE COUNTERPART

ARA-----------------------A shocking incident has come to light in Ara district of Bihar, where the ongoing dispute over the farewell of the daughter-in-law took a bloody turn. A 45-year-old woman was shot on Monday morning in Tirthakaul village of Sandesh police station area, in which she was seriously injured. The injured woman has been admitted to Ara Sadar Hospital for treatment.

The injured woman has been identified as Manorama Devi, ASHA worker of Sandesh block, who is the wife of Bhagwan Sah, a resident of Ward No. 5 of Tirthakaul village. As soon as the incident was reported, sensation spread in the village and surrounding areas. Sandesh SHO Santosh Kumar Singh immediately reached the spot with the police force and started investigating the matter.

Manorama Devi's son Sampooran Dev told that he was married in 2023 in Shivpur village of Bikramganj police station area of ​​​​Rohtas district. Since the marriage, his father-in-law (wife's father) used to constantly say that his daughter will live in his house and will behave according to him, not according to Sampoorn. There was a constant dispute between the two families regarding this matter.

Sampoorn further told that during Dussehra, when he went to his in-laws' house in Shivpuri to send off his wife, his father-in-law called the police and humiliated him. Being so hurt by this incident, he even broke his head. After this, he returned to his home with his wife, but his in-laws kept abusing him. Sampoorn Dev has accused his in-laws of firing on his mother, Manorama Devi. He says that his mother was injured due to shrapnel during the firing.

The police is investigating this serious allegation thoroughly. Sandesh SHO Santosh Kumar Singh said that the police is investigating all the aspects closely and strict action will be taken against the culprits. Such a violent turn in the family dispute has created concern in the society. Only further investigation by the police will bring out the truth of this entire matter.
