ARA----------------------------On the occasion of Kargil Vijay Diwas 2025, a felicitation ceremony of ex-servicemen and bravehearts was organized in the Jubilee Hall of "Shanti Smriti" Sambhavna Residential High School located in Shubh Narayan Nagar Majhaunwa of Ara city on Saturday.
The inauguration was done jointly by the chief guest Colonel Rana Pratap Singh (Retd.), Director of the school Dr. Kumar Dwijendra, Principal Dr. Archana Singh and Awadhesh Pandey. After this, tribute was paid to the immortal soldiers martyred in the Kargil war by offering flowers. The school director Dr. Kumar Dwijendra presided over the function, conducted by Academic Incharge Arvind Ojha and the vote of thanks was given by Vice Principal Rishikesh Ojha.
The chief guest Colonel Rana Pratap Singh (Retd.), Chairman of the District Ex-Servicemen Welfare Board, said that every year on July 26, the felicitation ceremony is organized by Sambhavna School. If someone honors even with flowers, then it is a big thing. Kargil Vijay Diwas is a day of happiness for us. The school family has boosted our morale by honouring us.
Former Vice Chancellor of Defence University Colonel Dr. Prof. Rajesh Kumar Singh said that today is an auspicious moment. 26 years ago India had shown its valour and courage, the world accepts its might. Presiding over the function, Director Dr. Kumar Dwijendra said that the school is feeling proud by honouring you on the occasion of Kargil Diwas. With the arrival of brave women and ex-servicemen, this school turns into a temple.
Delivering the welcome speech, Principal Dr. Archana Singh said that there is a lot of difference between standing and speaking about nationalism and standing at the border and facing the bullets of the enemies. Our brave soldiers face bullets at the border. The Kargil war is a proud story for us. It was my dream to work in the army. ICICI Regional Head (Bihar-Jharkhand) Arvind Jha said that patriotism has various forms. If you are disciplined, you can do something new in any field. On this occasion, 110 ex-servicemen and women warriors were honoured by the school's Director Dr. Kumar Dwijendra and Principal Dr. Archana Singh by giving them robes.
Among those honoured were RK Mishra, Subedar JN Pandey, Naik Kedar Singh, Havildar Jagmohan Singh, Havildar SB Singh, Subedar Major Paramhans Rai, Subedar Akhtar Ali, Subedar MS Khan. Among the women warriors were Ramjharo Devi, Kalyano Devi, Kamala Devi, Suhagin Devi, Bhagwano Devi etc.
The ex-servicemen and women warriors looked very overwhelmed after receiving the honour. On this occasion, former Vice Chancellor of Defence University Colonel Dr. Prof. Rajesh Kumar Singh was given special honour. The welcome song “Bharat Mata Ki Raksha Karte…. was presented by the school students Arpita Kesari, Ananya Kesari, Saumya Singh, Saloni Singh, Priyanshi Singh, Meenakshi Pandey, Shiksham, Vandana Kumari, Sarika Singh, Gyani Kumari, Apoorva, Roshni Singh, Archana Chaudhary, Pratigya Singh, Manisha Singh, Tapasya Bhardwaj.
The program concluded with ‘Vande Mataram’. Music teacher Dharmendra Kumar, Amitesh Ranjan, Mahesh Prasad Sharma, art teacher Shankar, Sanjeev Sinha, yoga teacher Shashi Bhushan Singh contributed in making the program successful. During the program, social worker Arvind Kundan, all the teachers and non-teaching staff of the school and others were present.
