ARA-------------------------The Mouni Baba Ghanta Ghar was situated at the famous Gopali Kuan of the city for hundreds of years. Due to its dilapidated condition, a proposal was passed to give it a new look and accordingly it was demolished. After almost 2 years, the construction work is not being done, due to which various organizations of the city have raised objections to it.

A meeting was held by the members of the Ghanta Ghar Committee in Baba Pataleshwar Nath Mahadev Temple regarding this. After the meeting, the issue was discussed with Ara Mayor representative Lalan ji and it was decided unanimously to cordon off the Ghantaghar area and discuss the issue at the administrative level. It is known that for the construction of the dilapidated Ghantaghar, the project of a new Ghantaghar was made by the then MP RK Singh, which the then District Officer Rajkumar had approved at the administrative level. In the same sequence, the original structure of the old Ghantaghar was demolished and Bhoomi Pujan was also done there by the MP, District Magistrate and Police Captain and the foundation stone board was also installed there, but despite 2 years having passed, work for the new Ghantaghar has not been started there. There is an atmosphere of extreme disappointment among the city residents regarding this. Due to the lack of cordon at this place, encroachment is being done by handcart and footpath shopkeepers and filth is spreading there, which is a matter of concern. What is even more worrying is that encroachment is also being done to sell non-vegetarian food there. This issue was discussed and discussions were held with the Ara Mayor to solve this problem.

This meeting was chaired by Ram Kumar Pandey, director of Moni Baba Ghantaghar. The meeting was conducted by Shatrughan Prasad and Santosh Kumar Chaurasia. On this occasion, all the members, Vishwa Hindu Parishad district minister Abhishek Chaurasia, Bajrang Dal convenor Amit Pandey, Arya Samaj treasurer Neeraj Kumar, Ritesh Kumar, Shri Ram Sena's Hari Om Singh, Nikesh Pandey, Suraj Baba, Arun Kumar, Aman Vishwakarma, Abhishek Mishra, Golu Tiwari and many other members were present.
