DELHI----------------------According to Election Commission sources, the team led by the Chief Election Commissioner, which will visit Bihar after conducting a final review of all preparations, will return to Delhi on October 5th. The dates for the 2025 Bihar Assembly Elections will be announced the very next day, October 6th. This means the election date may be announced on October 6th.

According to Election Commission sources, voting in Bihar will be held in two phases. Preparations for security forces and other resources have already been made. A final review will be conducted during the Chief Election Commissioner's visit to Bihar.

According to Election Commission sources, nominations for the first phase of voting will begin on October 12th. According to the current election system in India, there should be a gap of approximately one month between the start of nominations and the start of voting. Therefore, the first phase of voting could take place in the first or second week of November. Nominations for the second phase of elections are expected to begin on October 19th. Therefore, voting is expected to take place in the second or third week of November. The Election Commission will complete the Bihar election process before November 24th.
