BUXAR---------------------------Drug De-addiction Day was celebrated in the meeting hall of the Collectorate premises on Wednesday in the presence of District Officer-in-Charge Akash Chaudhary. As per the state government's directives, awareness programs on de-addiction were organized throughout the district, while the main state-level program was held in Patna.
As part of the district-level program, arrangements were made to view the live webcast of the state-level program in the Collectorate meeting hall. On this occasion, the District Officer-in-Charge administered the pledge of abstinence from drugs to the officers and staff present. The pledge stated, "I sincerely pledge that I will not consume alcohol and other intoxicants, as they are harmful to health. I will also encourage others to abstain from them."
In his address, the District Officer-in-Charge stated that prohibition has improved the socio-economic conditions of families and has had a positive impact on children's education. He elaborated on the ill effects of drug abuse and appealed for spreading awareness in society.
He urged the youth to adopt a drug-free life and inspire others to do the same. At the end of the program, it was announced that public awareness activities will continue in the district to create a drug-free society, and with the cooperation of various organizations, people will be encouraged to stay away from drugs.
