DOZENS OF PEOPLE GOT BURNT AFTER COMING IN CONTACT WITH HIGH VOLTAGE WIRE

SASARAM---------------------------A big accident happened on Friday night during the Chand procession being taken out on the occasion of Muharram in Akbarpur village of the district. During the procession, about a dozen people got burnt after coming in contact with a high voltage electric wire. After the incident, there was chaos and amidst the screams, the local people immediately took the injured to the hospital.

As soon as the information of the incident was received, social worker Torab Niazi reached the spot and sent the injured people to the hospital for treatment under his supervision. The injured are being treated in the hospital, some of whom are said to be in critical condition.

The villagers, angry with the accident, blocked the main road for hours, accusing them of negligence. They say that this incident has happened due to the negligence of the electricity department. Many times there was a demand to repair the wire and raise it, but the department ignored it. Immediate action should be taken against the guilty officials, All the dilapidated electricity wires in the area should be repaired immediately.

The administration has appealed to the people to maintain peace and said that the matter will be investigated and appropriate action will be taken.

This accident has become another example of the gross negligence of the administration and the electricity department, due to which there is great anger among the people.
