DM INSTRUCTED TO CLOSE SCHOOLS

ARA----------------------------In view of the possibility of adverse effects on the health and lives of children due to the extremely cold weather and low temperatures in the district, District Magistrate Tanay Sultania has issued instructions regarding academic activities for all classes in all private and government schools, including pre-schools and Anganwadi centers, in the district.

The district is experiencing severe cold in the morning and evening, which is likely to have an adverse effect on the health of children. According to the weather department's forecast, similar conditions are expected to prevail on December 20, 2025. Earlier, vide memo number 2336/Judicial dated December 19, 2025, academic activities in schools were restricted before 9:00 AM and after 3:30 PM.

Considering the current circumstances, the District Magistrate, Bhojpur, exercising his powers under Section 163 of the Indian Civil Security Code, 2023, has partially modified the previous order. According to this modified order, all academic activities for classes 1 to 8 in all private and government schools (including pre-schools and Anganwadi centers) in Bhojpur district will remain completely suspended on December 20, 2025.
