ARA---------------------------Due to the catastrophic flooding and erosion of the Ganga River, a proposal has been submitted to the Election Commission to shift polling stations in Jawainia village, Shahpur block, within the Assembly constituency. The Jawainia Plus Two School has been submerged in the Ganga River due to erosion. The administration has proposed shifting polling stations numbered 20, 21, and 22 to the Bhushula Primary School in the nearby village.
Jawainia Plus Two School previously housed three polling stations, but this time, the entire school has been submerged by the Ganga River. This situation has created a serious polling station problem. To address this issue, the local administration has submitted a proposal to shift all three polling stations to the nearby Bhushula Primary School, ensuring that the voting process is not disrupted and villagers can easily exercise their franchise.
Meanwhile, thousands of people from approximately three hundred households in Wards 4 and 5 of Jawainia village have been displaced and taken shelter at the Damodarpur Dam. This situation is extremely worrying, as their homes have been eroded by the Ganges River. Many of these displaced families are living with relatives and elsewhere, making their situation even more difficult.
DCLR Jagdishpur Amrendra Kumar stated that a proposal has been sent to shift the polling stations at Jawainia Plus Two School to Bhushula Primary School. The main objective of this proposal is to ensure that all voters can cast their votes without any problems.
