On the seventh day of Sharadiya Navratri, as soon as the doors of the puja pandals in various areas of the city and the district opened, a crowd of devotees gathered to see the Goddess. The Shri Kishore Durga Puja Committee, located at Arya Chowk in the city, opened the doors of the temple with full rituals at 10 a.m. on Monday. A large number of devotees attended. The entire pandal resounded with chants of praise for the Goddess. This marked the beginning of the four-day Dussehra fair.

Shops selling jalebi, chaat-chola, chowmein, burgers, toys, shoes, and more have been set up on both sides of the roads in the city and rural markets for the Dussehra fair. People were seen shopping for the puja. Magistrates and police officers, along with armed forces, were deployed at various intersections in the city. Police officers and personnel were seen on duty.
In addition, senior police and administration officials continued to monitor the area. The doors of the Durga Puja pandals in the city's Devi Sthan, Chowk Arya Path, Syndicate Mod, Nagari Pracharini Mod, Babu Bazaar, Mathiya Mod, Nala Mod, Tari Mohalla Mod, Old Police Line, and other areas opened on Monday. However, in some areas of the city, the doors of the Durga Puja will open on Ashtami.
