DELHI--------------------------The Department of Animal Husbandry and Dairying (DAHD), under the Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying, actively participated in World Food India 2025, held at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi from September 25 to 28. The Department's pavilion, inaugurated on September 25 in the presence of Minister of State Prof. SP Singh Baghel, brought together 15 startups from the sector, showcasing innovative products and solutions ranging from livestock-based dairy products to cutting-edge technological advancements in the field. Key highlights included live demonstrations by several startups and a specially designed "selfie point," which garnered significant attention. The pavilion showcased key government schemes, new initiatives, and technological advancements.

The Department of Animal Husbandry and Dairying participated in a CEO roundtable on the opening day and discussed regional opportunities and policy support with industry leaders. The Department also organized a knowledge session on September 25th on the topic "Sustainable Livestock Production: Emerging Opportunities in the Non-Bovine Sector." It focused on harnessing opportunities in the non-bovine sector and promoting sustainable regulations. The pavilion saw enthusiastic participation from entrepreneurs, innovators, policymakers, and foreign delegates. It served as a platform for dialogue on government schemes, investment opportunities, and future collaborations for the development of India's livestock and dairy sector.
