DEBATE COMPETITION ON THE IMPORTANCE OF VOTING

ARA------------------------Debate and speech competition on the topic "Importance of voting in democracy" was organized by the District Election Officer, Bhojpur under 'SWEP Bhojpur' at Jagjivan College, Ara. The program was inaugurated by lighting of lamp and garlanding the statue of Babu Jagjivan Ram by the Principal of the college, Prof. Dr. Abha Singh and other teachers. In her presidential address, the Principal made the students aware and inspired them about the importance of voting in democracy. Dr. Amresh Kumar (Hindi), Dr. Satyendra Pandey (Sanskrit), and Prof. Julie Kumari (Economics) were notable judges on stage during the speech competition. Amrit Raj, Jitesh Kumar, and Saurabh Kumar secured first, second, and third place, respectively. The college's student brand ambassadors for the Bihar Legislative Assembly Elections 2025, Vishal Kumar, Yuvraj Soni, and Megha Srivastava, were also commendable in organizing this event. Finally, Tanvi moderated the session, and the vote of thanks was given by Professor Sindhu Kumari, Chairperson of the Political Science Department. NCC officials Professor Amritlal Jaiswal, Professor Chandan Kumar, and Dr. Navarun Ghosh, along with a large number of students, were present on the occasion.
