ARA---------------------------In response to a statewide call by the CPI-ML, Khegramas, Bihar, and the Businessmen's Association, a massive one-day protest was held in front of the Bhojpur District Magistrate in Ara to protest against the bulldozer rule in Bihar and the displacement of the poor without alternative arrangements, and to demand five decimals of land for the poor. The protest was chaired by Rameshwar Sah, the respected District President of the Bihar Businessmen's Association, and conducted by Dilraj Pritam, the CPI-ML District Office Secretary. Hundreds of protesters raised slogans during the protest.

Addressing the protest, CPI-ML Central Committee member and District Secretary Jawaharlal Singh said that after the elections, bulldozers are being used against Dalits and poor communities across the state. He termed this a direct attack on Dalits and the poor and called for a strong movement against this government to force an immediate halt to the violent actions.

Citing the example of a bulldozer being used against poor Paswans in Shivnandan Nagar, Nalanda district, he said this was not an isolated incident. Such attacks on Dalits and the poor are increasing throughout the state. He appealed to the government to stop this immediately and ensure the protection of the land and livelihoods of the common people.

Further from the protest, former Agiaon MLA Shiv Prakash Ranjan, referring to the plight of footpath vendors, said that even those who were duly surveyed and issued vending identity cards by the Municipal Corporation are being continuously removed in the name of encroachment.

Kunal said this action is an attack on the livelihoods of the poor and described it as against democratic values ​​and the Constitution. He demanded that the government immediately stop such actions and protect the rights and lives of the common people in the future, otherwise the CPI-ML will launch a major movement against this encroachment. Following the protest, a five-member delegation met with ADM Vimal Kumar in the absence of the District Magistrate.
