ARA------------------------Under CPI(ML)'s nationwide protest day against imposition of 25% tariff on India by US President Donald Trump, CPI(ML) Ara took out a protest march from the district office Sritola and burnt the effigies of US President Donald Trump and Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the bus stand! A meeting was organised after that! Addressing the gathering, CPI-ML State Committee member and Agiaon MLA Shivprakash Ranjan strongly condemned the 25% tariff imposed by US President Donald Trump on Indian exports and said that the Modi government has surrendered to America! This has not only caused heavy damage to the country's image in the world but is also an attack on our sovereignty! Which cannot be accepted at any cost! He said that the US President imposes 25 percent punitive duty on India for buying arms and energy from Russia, calls Indian citizens "illegal immigrants" and sends them back to India in chains! But the Modi government at the Center continues to support every anti-India move silently and sometimes openly! He said that till when will Modi ji mortgage India's national interests, economic and political sovereignty to the American imperialism led by Trump; He said that August is the month of India's independence and 'Quit India Movement'! Today when Trump is insulting India's independence and sovereignty by imposing 25% punitive duty on India and insulting India by calling it a 'dead economy', the Modi government has kept silent and mortgaged the country's interests to America. It is necessary to raise voice against this imperialist attack and the humiliating silence and surrender of India's Modi government! CPI-ML demands that in protest against the 25% tariff on imports from India by US President Donald Trump, the Indian government should also impose tariff on imports of US goods and cancel all trade agreements with America! We want an independent and self-reliant India, surrender to Trump's blackmailing will not be tolerated! The meeting was conducted by CPI-ML District Office Secretary Dilraj Pritam!
