ARA--------------------------After strong opposition from the Zila Parishad of Sahar, the controversial proposal could not be passed after uproar by most of the members who came in support, the conspiracy proved unsuccessful.

Under a deep conspiracy, the proposal of construction of mall on the Zila Parishad land in Katira of Ara from the tied head of the Sixth State Finance Commission and the usurping of the land by a few members by implementing lease policy on the Zila Parishad land located in the district could not be passed due to uproar. Last Friday, in the general meeting of the Zila Parishad, after strong opposition from the Zila Parishad councilor of Sahar-East, Meena Kumari, most of the members walked out of the House on this proposal of the President and Vice President. The members said that after the approval of such a proposal in the last year of the tenure of the Zilla Parishad, some influential members and officials will together distribute the amount and sacrifice it to loot and corruption. Zilla Parishad member Meena Kumari raised the question that why such controversial proposals were brought in the last year of the tenure of the Zilla Parishad and just two months before the implementation of the code of conduct before the assembly elections? Whereas such proposals have been brought in the House since 2012. Zilla Parishad member Meena Kumari expressed apprehension that the general meeting of the Zilla Parishad is held only after three months, so if both these controversial proposals were passed, then the next meeting would be held only after the assembly elections i.e. next year. Meanwhile, some influential members will get their share of the money. On the basis of information received from sources, it is being told that the way some members were benefited by sacrificing gross irregularities and corruption in the earlier Zilla Parishad shop allotment, in the same way, the result arising from the passing of the above two controversial proposals would have benefited only a few members and the result would have been achieved.
