ARA--------------------------CPI-ML State Committee member, All India Kisan Mahasabha State President and Vaishali Party District Secretary Visheshwar Yadav was busy preparing for the Pipra Assembly elections when his health deteriorated and he passed away in Pipra. As soon as the news of his death was received, a wave of mourning spread across Bihar. A condolence meeting was held at the CPI-ML District Office, Sritola, Ara. His photographs were displayed during the condolence meeting along with CPI-ML Politburo member and senior leader Swadesh Bhattacharya, former State Secretary Nandkishore Prasad, Central Committee member Abhiyudaya, State Committee member and outgoing MLA from Agiaon Shivprakash Ranjan, senior leader Meera Ji, former National President of AISA Nilashish Bose, AISA State Secretary Shabbir Kumar, Jharkhand AISA State Secretary Triloki Kumar, District Standing Committee member Jitendra Singh, INAUS District Secretary Niranjan Kesari, AISA District President Sushil Yadav, District Secretary Vikas Kumar, District Committee members Sushil Pal, Roshan Kushwaha, Randhir Kumar Rana, Suresh Paswan, Jaishankar Prasad, Sumit Kumar, Rajesh Gupta, Lakshmi Paswan, Yogendra Yadav, and many others were present. The condolence meeting was conducted by CPI-ML District Office Secretary Dilraj Pritam. Addressing the gathering, former CPI-ML State Secretary Nandkishore Prasad said that CPI-ML Vaishali District Secretary Comrade Visheshwar Yadav passed away this morning. Comrade Visheshwar Yadav was in charge of the Pipra Assembly constituency in the Bihar Assembly elections. He had been suffering from a fever for two days. He was admitted to the hospital yesterday evening, where he passed away this morning. Comrade Visheshwar Prasad Yadav was born on January 1, 1952, in Randaha village of Bahuara Panchayat in Vaishali district. Visheshwar Yadav's father, Jang Bahadur Singh, was a prosperous farmer and ran a milk business throughout India under the name Bharat Dairy. Visheshwar Prasad studied until his 12th birthday and then entered the business field. While protesting against the bullying of some criminals, he was prosecuted. Afterward, he went underground and began tutoring children in Raghopur Diara. During this time, he came into contact with local CPI (ML) comrades. In 1977, he joined the CPI (ML) and led several movements against feudal oppression in Vaishali district. He was a skilled party organizer. He served as party secretary in Siwan, Darbhanga, and Patna Rural districts. In 1997, he briefly joined the Samajwadi Party (SP), but then returned to the party in 2000 and began working for the Vaishali District Committee. He currently serves as the Vaishali District Secretary. In 2004, Visheshwar was appointed the Vaishali District Secretary of the Bihar State Kisan Sabha. In 2014, he was appointed State President of the All India Kisan Mahasabha. Comrade Visheshwar Yadav was a popular farmer leader. He led numerous movements for the land and rights of farmers in Vaishali. In 2012, approximately 70 acres of land belonging to poor, marginal and small farmers was forcibly acquired in the name of an ITI college. Visheshwar Yadav intensified the movement against this and got the land back for all the poor. Similarly, an attempt was made to seize land in Sarai for a Dalda factory under the name Siddhi Rapeseed Vial, which he opposed and saved the farmers' land. Visheshwar played an active and leadership role in the long-running movement against the murder of Dalit girl Deeka Kumari in Vaishali.
Visheshwar Yadav consistently raised his voice for the welfare of farmers. He also protested against moneylenders. He played a key role in mobilizing movements against women harassment and atrocities against Dalits and the poor in Vaishali district.
Comrade Visheshwar Yadav was appointed in-charge of the Pipra Assembly constituency during the Bihar Assembly elections and was continuously active there. Voting was scheduled for November 11th. He had been experiencing fever and some discomfort two days prior to this, but instead of resting, he continued working. After voting on November 11th, his health deteriorated the night before and he was admitted to the hospital, and the sad news of his death was received this morning.
Comrade Visheshwar Yadav's family includes his son Saroj Yadav, daughter-in-law Savita Singh, grandson Vivek and Himanshu, granddaughter-in-law Asha Singh, and their children. Visheshwar Yadav's daughter-in-law Savita Singh has been the president of the PACS. Currently, grandson Vivek is the PACS president.
