PATNA--------------------------Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar today held a high-level review of the development schemes announced during his progress tour at 'Sankalp' on 1, Anne Marg and instructed officials to complete the work expeditiously.
During the review meeting, Chief Secretary Pratyaya Amrit informed through a presentation that 430 schemes had been approved during the progress tour, which are related to 22 departments. 428 schemes have been approved by these departments. The remaining 2 schemes were found to be technically unsuitable and are related to the Water Resources Department. Work on 21 schemes has been completed. Work on the remaining schemes is progressing rapidly and will be completed on time.
During the review, the Chief Minister said that in December 2024 and January-February 2025, he had visited all the districts during his progress tour to review the development works. Based on the feedback received from the people during the tour and the shortcomings he observed at the ground level, 430 new schemes were approved, on which Rs 50,000 crore will be spent.
He said that these schemes, related to all 38 districts, should be continuously reviewed and monitored regularly to ensure their speedy completion. All departments should work expeditiously on the pending schemes and complete them soon.
The Chief Minister said that they are constantly striving for the all-round development of the state. Work is being done in a planned manner for the development of all regions and all sections of the state. Work should be done with complete sensitivity and promptness on the schemes formulated for the upliftment of the people. We all want Bihar to be among the top 5 developed states in the country.
The meeting was attended by Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary, Water Resources and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Vijay Kumar Choudhary, Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister Deepak Kumar, Chief Secretary Pratyaya Amrit, Development Commissioner Mihir Kumar Singh, Additional Chief Secretaries/Principal Secretaries/Secretaries of all concerned departments, Secretary to the Chief Minister Kumar Ravi, Special Officer to the Chief Minister Dr. Gopal Singh and Secretary to the Chief Minister Dr. Chandrashekhar Singh.
