DELHI-------------------On Kargil Vijay Diwas 2025, Chief of Army Staff General Upendra Dwivedi gave a blunt warning to Pakistan from the hills of Ladakh. Said, forces harming India's sovereignty, integrity and citizens will now get a befitting and decisive reply. General Dwivedi clarified that the army is now working under the New Normal. Under this, every action of the enemy will be responded to with quickness, strength and technical efficiency.

General Upendra Dwivedi, referring to the attack carried out from 7 to 9 May during Operation Sindoor, said, the Indian Army has given a very accurate and controlled response. During this, our Army Air Defense stood as an invincible wall, which no drone, missile or terrorist could penetrate.

General Upendra Dwivedi revealed that under Operation Sindoor, the Indian Army has destroyed the Pakistan-backed terrorist infrastructure. We first gave an opportunity to peace, but then we have also answered cowardice with valor.

The Indian Army is now transforming into a modern, technology-enabled and fast special force. Formation of 'Bhairav' Light Commando Battalion, deployment of drone platoon in each infantry battalion, Loiter Munition and Divyastra batteries in Artillery, Army Air Defence is being equipped with indigenous missile systems.

Roads, bridges and communication networks are being established by the Army in Ladakh. Apart from this, we are developing villages under the Vibrant Village Programme. Border tourism is being promoted under Battlefield, Ecological, Heritage and Adventure Tourism. Local youth are being linked to employment by giving them Tour Guide and Mountaineering training.

Army Chief Upendra Dwivedi said, we salute the saga of the heroes from the heights of Tiger Hill, Tololing and Point 4875. In 1999, the Indian Army hoisted the tricolor there under 'Operation Vijay'. Now we have shown again with 'Operation Sindoor' that India is now more powerful and organized than ever before.
