CHAUSA BATTLEFIELD TO BECOME A HUB FOR SPORTS ACTIVITIES

BUXAR------------------------The administration has accelerated its efforts to develop the historical Chausa battlefield, located in Chausa block, into a major center for tourism and sports activities. In this regard, District Art and Culture Officer Ravi Bahadur and Deputy Superintendent of Physical Education Alok Vats jointly inspected the block-level sports ground on Thursday. The officials conducted a detailed assessment of the ground's current condition, facilities, maintenance arrangements, and potential development works.

The administration has accelerated its efforts to develop the historical Chausa battlefield, located in Chausa block, into a major center for tourism and sports activities. In this regard, District Art and Culture Officer Ravi Bahadur and Deputy Superintendent of Physical Education Alok Vats jointly inspected the block-level sports ground on Thursday. The officials conducted a detailed assessment of the ground's current condition, facilities, maintenance arrangements, and potential development works.

During the inspection, the officials examined several important aspects, including the cleanliness of the ground, grass cutting, security arrangements, boundary, pitch preparation, and essential basic facilities for players. They issued strict instructions to the concerned maintenance agency, stating that the ground should be made suitable for inter-block and district-level competitions. The officials made it clear that any kind of negligence in maintenance would not be tolerated. If the prescribed standards are not followed, action will be taken to blacklist the agency.

This ground is considered extremely important not only for sports activities but also from a historical perspective. It is noteworthy that it was on this land of Chausa that the Mughal emperor Humayun was decisively defeated by the Afghan ruler Sher Shah Suri. This battle proved to be a significant turning point in Indian history. The administration believes that the development of the ground will not only provide better opportunities for players but also give national recognition to the historical significance of Chausa.

The officials stated that there are also plans to connect the ground to the tourism map so that outside tourists can come here and experience history and modern sports facilities. For this, work will soon begin on indicator boards, parking arrangements, seating areas, and other structural improvements. During the inspection, enthusiasm was evident among local sports enthusiasts. They expressed hope that

the development of the ground would give a new direction to sporting talent in the area and that Chausa would emerge as a sports hub. The administration assured

that all work would be completed within the stipulated timeframe and that no effort would be spared in giving the ground an attractive and modern look.
