SASARAM-------------------------The CBSE National Kabaddi Championship 2025, which had been going on since last Saturday at Gopal Narayan Singh University in Jamuhar, concluded on Wednesday. Medals and trophies were awarded to the winning players on the final day of the competition. It is noteworthy that the CBSE National Kabaddi Championship was held for the first time in Bihar, hosted by Narayan World School. All matches were held at the Gopal Narayan Singh University Sports Ground. The chief guests from CBSE presented medals and trophies to the players of all the winning teams. The final matches played on Wednesday were very exciting. All the final matches in the Under 14, Under 17, and Under 19 categories were very interesting. The players' sportsmanship and their performances drew loud applause from the audience. Addressing the players and others at the closing ceremony, Dr. Monica Singh, Director of Narayan World School, thanked the CBSE team, the school and university management for the successful organization of the competition. She said that the competition was a five-day event, but preparations for it had been ongoing for the past two months. He said that everyone contributed their best to make the competition a success. He expressed his happiness and said that the CBSE team provided immense support, which made it a successful event. Dr. Monica Singh said that she heard and witnessed the excellent experiences of all the players present. Earlier, Trivikram Narayan Singh, Managing Director of Narayan Medical College and Hospital, also met with all the teams that reached the final and encouraged them.
In the final match played on the last day, the Under-14 team of New Kashi Public School, Hisar (Haryana) displayed a strong performance, defeating Cosmos International School, Sirsa, 63-46, to emerge victorious. In the Under-17 category, Shrishti International School, Hisar (Haryana) and Veritas Sainik School, Andhra Pradesh, won the CBSE National Kabaddi Tournament. The team from Hisar (Haryana) won the match by a score of 46-32. The under-19 match was played between Saraswati Public School, Meerut (Uttar Pradesh) and Velmal Vidyalaya, Chennai (Tamil Nadu). The match between the two was quite exciting. The Meerut team performed well, winning 34-26 to become the under-19 champions. Ravi Prakash Singh of the Center of Excellence, CBSE Patna, Raghavendra Singh, Section Officer, Regional Office, Patna, Poonam Yadav, who arrived as an observer from CBSE, Kajal Rajput, who came as a CBSE technical representative, Ajay Kumar Sharma, Technical Incharge, Chandrashekhar Singh, Rahul Verma, Secretary of St. Paul School, Sasaram, Shailendra Singh, Principal of Bal Vikas Vidyalaya, Aradhana Verma, Principal of St. Paul School, Vivek Pandey, Founder of Manav Bharti Heritage School, Kaimur, Shivi Poddar, Principal of Dhenuka International School, Monica Singh, Director of Narayan World School, and Upanshu Kumar Sinha, Principal of Narayan World School, presented medals and trophies to all the winning players. Abhishek Kumar Singh conducted the stage, while Vrishketu Singh, Vice Principal of Narayan World School, delivered the vote of thanks. Rajiv Ranjan, Sports Director of Gopal Narayan Singh University, also played a significant role in the success and smooth conduct of the competition.
