CASE OF FAKE RECRUITMENT OF 42 ASSISTANT PROFESSORS FIGURED

PATNA----------------------The case of fake recruitment of 42 assistant professors reached the PMO. The case of fraud in the recruitment of assistant professors in the state universities has reached the President House and the PMO. A complaint has been made to the President and the Prime Minister about the fake certificates of 42 teachers appointed in the state universities including BRA Bihar University. A candidate has sent a 73-page complaint letter with evidence and demanded an investigation by SIT or Vigilance. It contains the names of the suspected teachers along with the UID number, the allotted university and the error found in the certificate. In this, the experience certificates of most of the teachers are fake. Many teachers have submitted wrong handicapped certificates or EWS certificates. The candidate has said that the appointment process was completed without checking the certificates at the commission level. Later, when a complaint was made about this, the certificates of some candidates were checked in a hurry. When found ineligible, their selection was canceled. Along with this, universities were also instructed to investigate, but no university has completed the process of concrete investigation till now. Order for investigation in December 2024, no action taken in 9 months

The commission had sent a letter to all the universities of the state on 13 December 2024 requesting them to investigate the certificates of assistant professors. It was said that the certificates of the candidates appointed earlier on the recommendation of the commission should also be investigated and action should be taken and a report should be sent. Also, in future also, the experience and disability certificate will be strictly investigated. However, most of the universities did not take it seriously. A committee was formed for investigation, but it did not give the report of a single teacher.

Complaint: The candidate sent a 73-page complaint letter with evidence, demanding an SIT inquiry

A teacher was selected in the deaf and dumb category in Economics subject in BRABU. Appointment has been made in a college. It is alleged that a fake disability certificate has been submitted. A few months ago, his video of speaking and teaching in the classroom also went viral, but no action has been taken till now.

An assistant professor selected by the commission in the subject of Political Science was allotted to BRABU. He has submitted the experience certificate of ad hoc teacher and on the basis of that the commission also selected him. Even after the complaint, no action or investigation has been taken so far.

A college of BRABU has shown the joining date as 2021 in the experience certificate given to the candidate and the service confirmation is mentioned in 2017. There is only a difference of 7 days between the joining and service confirmation of two candidates, whereas service is confirmed after at least 3 months.

A candidate who was a guest faculty in an affiliated college of TMBU till 2018 served in a constituent college after 2018. His experience certificate was issued on 21 October 2020. The copy provided to the commission has been self-attested by the candidate on 7 August 2024.

A college in Munger issued an experience certificate to a female candidate on 20 September 2020. It has the signature of the principal but there is no counter signature of the registrar. The experience certificate is valid only if it has the counter signature of the registrar of the concerned university.
