Virendra Kumar, son of Pachchu Singh, resident of Jagodih, was brutally beaten to death near Ramdihra station. On receiving the information, the police reached the spot and took immediate action and arrested Arjun Mahato and Alok Mehta, the accused from the deceased's clan.

Circle Inspector Sohail Ahmed, who was present on the spot, said that the body has been taken into custody and sent to Sasaram Sadar Hospital for post-mortem. He said that action will be taken mainly after the application is given by the family of the deceased. At present, police has been deployed there in view of the tension between the two families.

Rohtas SP Roshan Kumar said that the incident is related to mutual dispute. Police is conducting raids to arrest the accused. Here, people are scared due to the murder of two people in the police station area within 24 hours. At the same time, they are also expressing anger against the local police.

It may be said that 55-year-old farmer Parasnath Singh was murdered with a sharp weapon by criminals in Amra village of Amjhor late on Wednesday night. Local people came to know about the incident on Thursday morning. The family has suspected the murder to be due to land dispute. Villagers allege that after receiving the information, the police reached the spot with a delay of two and a half hours.
