SASARAM----------------------- There was chaos on Sunday near Shivsagar on National Highway-19 when Samrat Yatri bus going from Varanasi to Sasaram suddenly caught fire. The incident took place near Ramji Indane Gas Agency.

As soon as the passengers saw smoke coming out from the rear of the bus, they immediately warned the driver. The driver stopped the bus without delay and took out all the passengers safely. As soon as the passengers got down, the fire took a terrible form and in a few minutes the bus burnt to ashes.

On receiving the information, Shivsagar Police Station Head Ritesh Kumar Singh reached the spot with fire brigade personnel. After hours of hard work, the fire was brought under control. During this time, most of the bus was reduced to ashes. Local people also gathered at the spot.

Although all the passengers survived safely in this accident, but this incident raises serious questions on road safety and technical inspection of vehicles. The recent road accidents in Sasaram also showed that people often do not learn their lessons and lack of alertness gives rise to new accidents.
