BPRO EMBROILED IN CORRUPTION CHARGES

BUXAR--------------------------A conflict has arisen between the Mukhiya Association and the Block Panchayat Raj Officer (BPRO) in Simri block regarding the payment for development schemes. The Mukhiya Association has leveled serious allegations against the BPRO, accusing him of demanding commissions. They claim that this is the reason why payments for development works carried out in the panchayats are being withheld, significantly slowing down the pace of development.

Prem Sagar Kunwar, the block president of the Mukhiya Association and the head of Dumri Gram Panchayat, said that the BPRO is unnecessarily delaying the payment for several development works carried out under the 15th and 6th Finance Commissions. This is causing problems for the Mukhiyas, as well as the contractors and laborers who have completed work at the panchayat level.

Mukhiya Prem Sagar Kunwar alleged that the entire matter is related to commissions, which is legally illegal and a punishable offense. He said that the Mukhiyas of various panchayats in Simri block are now uniting on this issue, and a delegation of all the affected panchayat representatives will soon meet the Buxar District Magistrate to file a written complaint against the BPRO. The Mukhiya Association warned that if no concrete action is taken by the senior officials in this matter, a protest and agitation will be held in the Simri block office premises.
