BOOK FAIR ORGANIZED ON THE OCCASION OF LIBRARY DAY

ARA----------------------------A book fair was organized in High School Piro on the occasion of the birth anniversary of the great library scientist Dr. S.R. Ranganathan. Also, a garland was placed on his oil painting under the leadership of the school librarian Arvind Kumar. Mr. Arvind told that late Ranganathan is called the father of library movement in India.

Dr. Ranganathan gave five important rules of library science -1. Books are for use., 2. Every reader should have his book available. 3. Every book should have its reader available. 4. Save the reader's time. 5. Library is a growing organism.

Library is not just a collection of books, but it is a center of knowledge, thought and progress. Here we learn new things, develop the ability to think and give the right direction to our lives.

On this occasion, Shri Arvind made the children and teachers take a pledge that we will make maximum use of the library, promote the habit of reading and share knowledge with everyone. Students participated enthusiastically in the book fair. Separate stalls were set up for the students and they were choosing books according to their interest and studying them. In this program, the headmaster of the school, Bhim Rai said that the importance of books has not decreased even in this digital age. Shri Rai assured that the library will be made more equipped by purchasing books in the school.

Apart from the students, school teachers Prakash Chandra Ojha, Brajmohan Pathak, Murali Manohar Joshi, Amit Kumar, Preeti Kumari, Sabiha Khatoon, Jaya Kumari, Rinku Kumari, Vikas Chandra, Kush Ji Kumar, Krishna Kumar, Manoj Kumar, Om Prakash and Arun Kumar Mishra etc. were present in this program.
