The body was found approximately 17 hours later, about 1.5 kilometers from the incident site, entangled in bushes. The incident occurred on Wednesday evening in the Daha River in Ranpatti village, under the Manjhi police station area of ​​Saran district.

The body was found approximately 17 hours later, about 1.5 kilometers from the incident site, entangled in bushes. The incident occurred on Wednesday evening in the Daha River in Ranpatti village, under the Manjhi police station area of ​​Saran district. The deceased has been identified as Anurag Kumar, the eldest son of Saheb Mahto, a resident of Ranpatti.

According to the information, Anurag went to play near the Daha River with his sister on Wednesday evening. While playing, his foot suddenly slipped, and he fell into the deep water. His sister tried to call for help from people nearby, but due to the strong current of the river, Anurag was swept away. Hearing the commotion, villagers reached the spot and immediately started a rescue operation. Local divers and villagers continued searching for the child in the river until late at night, but without success.

The search resumed on Thursday morning. During this time, Anurag's body was found entangled in bushes about 1.5 kilometers away from the incident site. Upon receiving the information, a police team reached the spot and took the body into custody. The body has been sent to Chhapra Sadar Hospital for post-mortem examination. After the post-mortem, the body was handed over to the family members.
