ARA----------------------------Amidst allegations that the Election Commission of India is working at the behest of the central government and influencing the democratic process, the INDIA alliance has called for a Bihar bandh on the upcoming 09 July. This bandh is being done especially against the conspiracy to allegedly remove the names of migrant laborers, poor, Dalits, backward, extremely backward and minorities from the voter list. Addressing the meeting, the leaders of the INDIA alliance said that the voter re-verification campaign is being used as a political weapon. It was alleged that the Election Commission of India is working to remove the names of migrant laborers, poor sections and opposition voters from the list at the behest of the Modi government.

He said that this is not a simple mistake, but a well-planned conspiracy to crush the Constitution and democracy. This is not just a change in the voter list, but a serious step towards the murder of democracy.

In the meeting, the speakers alleged that on one hand fake votes are being added, while on the other hand the real votes of the general public are being cut. Especially Dalits, backward, extremely backward, minority and migrant labour classes are being targeted, so that the voting influence of these classes can be eliminated in the upcoming elections.

The representatives of INDIA alliance launched a scathing attack and said that the Modi-Nitish duo is now misusing democratic institutions out of fear of their electoral defeat. They said that when the support of the public is not received, then the governments resort to such dictatorial tactics. This bandh is a mass movement towards saving democracy. The INDIA alliance directly communicated with the people of Bhojpur and appealed to them to participate in this bandh with full force. The speakers said,

If your right to vote is taken away, then whose democracy will remain? For whom will the constitution be made? This is not just the robbery of votes, it is the murder of public opinion. In such a situation, every aware citizen will have to come out on the streets on 09 July. INDIA Alliance clarified that this bandh is not a demonstration of any political party, but a struggle to protect the democratic values ​​of the country and voter rights. This bandh will become a mass movement to protect the constitution, voting system and people's rights of the country.
