BIADA’S AMNESTY POLICY 2025 WILL GIVE NEW LIFE TO CLOSED INDUSTRIES

PATNA----------------------------Bihar Industrial Area Development Authority (BIADA) on Tuesday, August 19, 2025 announced the launch of 'Amnesty Policy 2025', which will provide an opportunity to revive closed industries. Under this policy, entrepreneurs will be able to recover their deposits by handing over their land back to BIADA, which is expected to give new impetus to industrial development.

Under this policy, entrepreneurs who have closed their industrial units or whose land allotment has been canceled will be able to get back a part of their lease amount. The remaining amount will be given in three installments after deduction in proportion to the period used based on the current rate of land. The last date for application has been fixed as 31 December 2025. After the return of land, entrepreneurs will be given three months to remove the structure and plant. After approval, 40% of the amount will be given in the first installment, then 30% in four months, and the remaining 30% in eight months.

According to BIADA officials, the main objective of this policy is to provide land for setting up new units in the industrial area and to revive closed industries. Entrepreneurs have welcomed the move, although some have demanded more transparency in the compensation amount. BIADA claims that this policy will promote investment in the state and strengthen economic activities.
