ARA-----------------------Bhojpur district administration seems to be fully prepared for the possible floo d situation. On the instructions of District Magistrate Mr. Tanay Sultania, Ara SadarSub-Divisional Officer conducted a thorough inspection of the coastal areas under the block. The main objective of this inspection was to review the pre-flood preparations, assess the possible dangers and implement the necessary safety measures in time.

During the inspection, SDO Ara visited various villages and directly inspected the erosion affected areas. Special focus was laid on the condition of erosion especially in the areas situated on the banks of river Ganga. Officials were instructed to expedite the anti-erosion works and wherever immediate action is required, it should be given priority. Also, it should be ensured that no erosion site is left without solution.

The SDO directed the concerned departments to complete the work of setting up all flood relief camps in time. Adequate quantity of food grains, drinking water, medicines, tarpaulin, boats and other essential materials should be arranged in advance in the relief camps. Also, special monitoring should be done at the panchayat level for the cleanliness system in the camps so that the flood victims do not have to face any inconvenience.

The district administration also made it clear that no negligence of any kind will be tolerated in the event of a flood. All the concerned departments have been instructed to work in mutual coordination. The Health Department has been instructed to deploy special medical teams in the flood-affected areas so that immediate medical assistance can be provided in case of any emergency.

DM Tanay Sultania said, "The Bhojpur district administration is fully alert. Our main objective is to minimize the loss of life and property in the event of a flood and provide relief and security to the people. The condition of the embankments is being continuously monitored and all departments have been instructed to complete the preparations in time." During the inspection, Circle Officer Ara Sadar, Executive Engineer Water Resources Department, Assistant Engineer, Junior Engineer, Block Development Officer, Panchayat Representative and other related officers were present. All the officers were instructed that there should be no laxity in flood control works and every activity should be inspected by visiting the field daily.
