PATNA--------------------------Political mercury is on the rise before the Bihar assembly elections. Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to Motihari and the 'gift' of development projects worth more than ₹ 7,200 crores to the state has given the opposition a new opportunity to attack. The opposition has retaliated by accusing PM Modi of 'jumlebaazi', which includes a direct attack by RJD supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav and the launch of a 'satirical song' by Tejashwi Yadav.

Tejashwi's 'Gana Bomb': "Modi Ji O Modi Ji, fed up with your lies and jumlas!"

Just a day after the Prime Minister's visit to Bihar, Leader of Opposition in Bihar Assembly Tejashwi Yadav created a stir in political circles by launching a scathing 'satirical song' on the promises of the BJP. Sharing the video of this song on his X (formerly Twitter) account, he wrote, "Modi Ji O Modi Ji, respected Modi Ji, fed up with your lies and jumlas, the people of Bihar have dedicated this song to you."

The lyrics of this song directly question many old promises of the BJP. It particularly mentions the unfulfilled promise of restarting the closed sugar mills, which has been a big issue in the rural areas of Bihar. The song also taunts that Prime Minister Modi does not come to Bihar without elections, indicating that his visits are only for electoral gains. Apart from this, the government has also been targeted for the recent incidents of bridge collapse and the 'deteriorating condition' of law and order in Bihar.

Lalu Yadav's sharp question: "Will you come to tell a slogan or after tampering with the voter list?

RJD national president Lalu Prasad Yadav also took a dig at the Prime Minister's Bihar visit in his usual style. He wrote on the social networking site X, "Will you come to Bihar to tell a slogan or after tampering with the voter list? Bihari, you will not allow any tampering to happen?" This statement of Lalu Yadav directly fuels the allegations of electoral rigging and possible manipulation in the voter list by the BJP, which has further increased the political tension before the elections.

Rhetoric intensifies before the elections:

Even though there are still two to three months left for the assembly elections to be held in Bihar this year, the ruling party and the opposition have completely opened a front against each other. While the ruling party is trying to capitalize on the 'gift' of development projects given by the Prime Minister as its achievement, the opposition is calling it a mere 'election slogan' and a new form of not fulfilling old promises.

Tejashwi's song and Lalu's tweet clearly indicate that in the coming days, Bihar politics will see more sharp rhetoric and allegations and counter-allegations, as both the parties are making their moves on the electoral chessboard.
