Meanwhile, the incident sparked outrage among the deceased's family and local residents. Following the post-mortem, people blocked the road near Chandwa turn with the body, demanding compensation and the immediate arrest of the accused. They maintained the blockade for nearly two hours. The blockade resulted in a long line of vehicles, bringing traffic to a complete halt.
Gajrajganj OP in-charge Chanchal Kumar Mahatha and Udwantnagar CO Harikesh Tripathi arrived at the scene and provided a compensation of ten thousand rupees to the deceased's dependents. He also assured them that the twenty thousand rupees grant would be paid by check. The compensation provided would be provided. Following this, the angry crowd lifted the blockade.
According to information, the deceased was Baiju Kumar Paswan, 22, son of the late Chandradev Paswan, a resident of Chowkipur village in the Gajrajganj OP area. He worked for a private company in Bengaluru. The deceased's elder brother, Viru Kumar, stated that he lived in Bengaluru and had returned to the village four days earlier.
He left home at 7 pm on Sunday, saying he was going out. He returned late that night and left again shortly afterward. He never returned. Meanwhile, on Monday morning, villagers reported his body lying in a garden in the village. Upon receiving the information, the family arrived and informed the local police station.
On the other hand, Viru Kumar, the deceased's elder brother, stated that some village boys had formed a gang to engage in snatching. When my brother went out of the house again at night, he was fed and watered by the same people. They insisted he do something with them. When he refused, they strangled and beat him to death.
According to the inquest report prepared by the police, the deceased's death appears to have occurred under suspicious circumstances. However, the cause of death will only be clear after the post-mortem report. Gajrajganj OP in-charge Chanchal Kumar Mahatha stated that during questioning, family members revealed that he used to be a drug user, due to which he was sent away. He had returned only three days ago. The cause of his death remains unclear. However, the police are investigating the matter.
It is reported that the deceased was the third of four brothers and two sisters. He was married in May of this year. His wife's hands hadn't even been mehndi-coated yet, and the vermillion in her forehead had vanished. His family includes his mother, Sitajhari Kunwar, his wife, Reena Devi, three brothers, Viru Kumar Paswan, Baburam Paswan, and Baijnath Paswan, and two sisters, Soni and Gudiya. His mother, Sitajhari Kunwar, his wife, Reena Devi, and all the family members were inconsolable, weeping profusely.
