BHABHUA-------------------------In a major operation in the Nuawan police station area of ​​the district, the police have busted an illegal arms and narcotics trafficking racket operating under the guise of a poultry farm. The police raided a poultry farm in Akhni village and recovered a large quantity of cannabis, weapons, and cartridges. The farm owner, Atif Afroz Khan, was arrested on the spot. According to information, the Nuawan police received a tip-off that Atif Afroz Khan, a resident of Akhni village, was carrying out illegal activities near his poultry farm. Taking this information seriously, senior police officers were informed. Following this, a special raiding team was formed under the direction of the Mohania SDPO (Sub-Divisional Police Officer), which included the Nuawan Station House Officer and armed police personnel.

When the police team raided the poultry farm and began searching, a shocking cache was recovered from inside a water tank. Three illegal country-made pistols, four live cartridges, two misfired cartridges, and 13 empty cartridges were recovered from the tank where they were hidden. In addition, the police also seized 8.12 kilograms of cannabis from the spot.

The police arrested the accused, Atif Afroz Khan (son of Afroz Khan), on the spot. A mobile phone was also seized from him. The police are currently interrogating the accused and trying to find out where these weapons and cannabis were to be supplied.
