APPLICATION TO THE PRESIDENT OF INDIA FOR RENOVATON OF OPEN GYM AT RAMANA MAIDAN

ARA----------------------------Advocate, Ara Civil Court and former joint secretary, Ara Bar Association, Pramod Kumar Rai, in an application to the President of India, requested for the immediate repair or renovation of the dilapidated and broken equipment of the open gym at Ara Ramana Maidan. He also sent copies of the application to the former Union Minister R K Singh, Chief Secretary, Government of Bihar, Chief Minister, Bihar, Union Home Minister, Prime Minister, Health Department, Patna, Health Minister, Government of India.

He drew attention of the President of India towards the extremely pathetic condition of the open gym located at Ramna Maidan, Ara. At present, almost all the equipment of the gym installed there – such as leg press, pushup bar, chest machine, pulling machine etc. – are in a broken and dilapidated state, due to which the citizens visiting there, especially the elderly, women and the youth, are facing serious difficulties in exercising.

Every morning, thousands of local citizens gather at Ramna Maidan for morning walk and exercise, but this public resource promoting health has become a victim of neglect and mismanagement.

It is extremely regrettable that despite giving attractive slogans like "Healthy India" and "Fit India", the Central and State Governments are ignoring such basic health facilities at the ground level.

Today, when citizens see these broken equipment, the gap between government announcements and reality is clearly visible. The public believes that governments are busy only in paper plans and publicity, while the ground reality is a victim of gross neglect. Due to this, there is deep dissatisfaction and anger among the common people.

He demanded the concerned department should be immediately directed to repair or renew all the dilapidated and broken equipment of the open gym established in Ramna Maidan, Ara, If necessary, immediate action should be taken in the interest of public health by getting budget allocation from the local body, Municipal Corporation or Sports Ministry, A permanent arrangement should be ensured for safety, cleanliness and regular maintenance in Ramna Maidan.

This issue related to public health and civic amenities is very serious. Therefore, you are requested to take appropriate steps without delay and ensure a permanent solution to this problem, so that Ramna Maidan can once again become the center point for building a healthy society.
