BUXAR--------------------------A teacher at an ANM training school committed suicide by hanging herself under mysterious circumstances. Police are investigating. Her body was found hanging from a noose in a room on the first floor of the training school. The deceased was identified as Jyoti Kumari (25), a resident of Tajpur, Samastipur.

She had gone home on vacation. Soumya returned to Patna from Samastipur on Sunday. A fellow teacher, Supriya Rani, said, "I had dinner with Jyoti during the funeral." She wouldn't open the door in the morning. When the gate was broken, her body was found hanging. The incident occurred in West Patel Nagar, under the jurisdiction of the Shastri Nagar police station. Shastri Nagar SHO Ravindra Kumar said, "At around 10 a.m., we received information that a teacher at the ANM Training School had committed suicide by hanging herself. An investigation was conducted at the scene. Further action is being taken."

Fellow teacher Supriya Rani told the police that Jyoti had returned from her village late in the evening. She had gone home for Guru Nanak Jayanti. She had been gone for the past four days. She had never told anyone about any problems. It never occurred to her that she might commit suicide. In the morning, when it was time to go to college, she didn't wake up after knocking on the door, so I informed Principal Angelina Benjamin."
