BHABHUA---------------------------Followers of Sanatan Dharma in the district celebrated Akshaya Navami (Amla Navami) with great devotion. They worshipped Lord Vishnu and the Amla tree and distributed Prasad.

Every year, Akshaya Navami is celebrated on the ninth day of the Shukla Paksha (bright fortnight) of Kartik month. This day holds special significance in Sanatan Dharma. On this day, Lord Vishnu is worshipped along with the Amla tree. For this reason, this day is also celebrated as Amla Navami. It is believed that auspicious deeds performed on Akshaya Navami bring eternal fruits. According to religious beliefs, Lord Vishnu resides on the Amla tree from the ninth day of the Shukla Paksha (bright fortnight) of Kartik month until the full moon. Additionally, consuming Amla (Indian gooseberry) on this day, cooking and eating food under the Amla tree, and feeding Brahmins also bestows the blessings of good health upon the devotee and his family. Significance of Akshaya Navami: "Akshaya" means immortal or that which never decays. It is believed that the fruits of charity and good deeds performed on this day are never lost or diminished. It is believed that the Satya Yuga began on Akshaya Navami. Therefore, Akshaya Navami is also known as Satya Yugadi. According to some other beliefs, Lord Krishna traveled from Vrindavan to Mathura to fulfill his duties on Akshaya Navami. This is why a large crowd of devotees gather to perform the circumambulation of Mathura-Vrindavan on Akshaya Navami, and this circumambulation holds special significance.
