ARA--------------------------Purnia MP Pappu Yadav has named state Congress president Rajesh Ram and MP Tariq Anwar as CM candidates of Mahagathbandhan in the upcoming Bihar assembly elections. This has created a stir in the opposition alliance. Pappu Yadav held a meeting with Rahul Gandhi and party president Mallikarjun Kharge at the Congress headquarters in Delhi on Monday.

Independent MP Pappu attended the Congress meeting on Bihar elections for the first time. After this meeting, the Purnia MP said that there are many CM candidates from Congress as well. This statement can cause uneasiness in the RJD camp, which has already declared Tejashwi Yadav as the face of the Chief Minister.

Independent MP from Purnia Pappu Yadav held a meeting with Rahul Gandhi and Kharge at the Congress headquarters in Indira Bhawan in New Delhi on Monday. Bihar Congress in-charge Krishna Allavaru and state president Rajesh Ram were also present in it. In the meeting, the strategy of the Congress party in the upcoming Bihar elections was discussed. It is also being said that during this time Pappu Yadav also talked to Rahul and Kharge separately.

The political temperature in Bihar has heated up due to this meeting held in Delhi. Talking to the media after the meeting, Pappu Yadav said that there is no shortage of faces for the CM post in the Congress. He also took the names of Rajesh Ram and Tariq Anwar. He said that he will try his best to take Rahul Gandhi's ideology to every house in Bihar.

This statement of Pappu Yadav has increased the concern in Tejashwi Yadav's RJD camp. RJD spokesperson Mrityunjay Tiwari said in a conversation with a TV channel on Tuesday that Tejashwi is the face of the Grand Alliance and will remain so in the future too. Pointing to Pappu Yadav, he said that nothing happens with his saying. This is not the official statement of the Congress. Tiwari said that Tejashwi was the face of the Grand Alliance in 2020 and will remain so in 2025 too. What Rahul Gandhi, Sonia Gandhi, Kharge or the Congress in-charge are saying matters.

Recently, during the Chakka Jam in Patna against the Mahagathbandhan's voter list revision, Pappu Yadav was prevented from boarding Rahul Gandhi's open truck. Tejashwi Yadav was also in that truck. This incident with Pappu Yadav was discussed a lot in political circles. Apart from Pappu, Congress youth leader Kanhaiya Kumar was also not allowed to board the open truck. The leaders of the ruling coalition NDA had termed it an insult to both.

Pappu Yadav's differences with the Lalu-Tejashwi family are well known. Before the Lok Sabha elections last year, Pappu merged his Jan Adhikar Party (JAP) with the Congress. He wanted to contest the election from Purnia on a Congress ticket. However, Tejashwi Yadav did not give the Purnia seat to the Congress and fielded Bima Bharti from here on the RJD symbol. Then Pappu Yadav contested the election as an independent and became an MP from Purnia.
