ABHAYA BRIGADE TAKES CHARGE TO ENSURE SAFERTY OF GIRLS

BHABHUA--------------------------To ensure that girls do not face any problems or difficulties while going to school, the Abhaya Brigade has been established on the initiative of senior police officers and the government. The brigade is commanded by Woman Sub-Inspector Isha Mehta, who is posted at Durgavati police station. Complaints were frequently received that eve-teasers would sometimes harass girls on their way to and from school, causing them distress.  Therefore, a team has been formed on the government's initiative to keep an eye on these girls. This team will be present in the vicinity during school hours and will also visit schools to raise awareness among the girls. Station House Officer Girish Kumar said that girls should now feel safe and confident while going to and from school. If they encounter any problems, they should call 112 or the police station's personal number without hesitation so that eve-teasers and unruly elements can be controlled and girls do not face any difficulties while going to school or the market.
