SASARAM-------------------------In accordance with the Election Commission's directives for the 2025 Bihar Assembly Elections, a comprehensive investigation campaign is being conducted by the administrative and police departments to ensure free, fair, and fear-free voting in the district. In this regard, the SSTs formed in all assembly constituencies, under the leadership of District Election Officer-cum-District Magistrate Udita Singh and Superintendent of Police Roshan Kumar, are continuously conducting operations.

These teams are checking vehicles, searching suspicious individuals, and seizing illegal cash, liquor, narcotics, precious metals, and other inducements in various areas of the district. The purpose of these actions is to prevent any inducement, misuse, or attempts to influence voters. According to a report, items worth ₹113.15 lakh have been seized in Rohtas district so far.

District Election Officer-cum-District Magistrate Udita Singh stated that in all seven assembly constituencies of the district—Chenari, Dehri, Dinara, Karakat, Kargahar, Nokha, and Sasaram—SST teams are continuously conducting checking campaigns at intersections, main roads, and border areas. Immediate action is being taken if any vehicle or person is found with illegal material. She stated that the administration is fully vigilant and no opportunity should be given to influence the election process at any cost.

The district administration has appealed to the general public to play an impartial role in this grand festival of democracy and to immediately report any illegal activity or suspicious object to the district control room or the concerned police station.
