ARA------------------------On Handloom Day, a program was organized under the joint aegis of "Mera Yuva Bharat" and "Jan Vikas Kranti". On the occasion of Handloom Day, a handloom competition based on the theme "Tricolor Flag Making" was successfully organized at Nayaka Tola, Jagdishpur under the joint aegis of "Mera Yuva Bharat" and "Jan Vikas Kranti". The main objective of this program was to encourage traditional weaving, provide a creative platform to local weavers, and create pride and awareness among the youth, especially women, towards indigenous fabrics and national symbols. Local women and youth participated in large numbers in the competition and beautifully displayed various traditional and new designs in the tricolor flags made by handlooms with their own hands. Three participants were selected by the judges on the basis of art, presentation and national spirit: First Prize – Punita Kumari, Second Prize – Suman Kumari, Third Prize – Rinku Kumari. The winners were honored by giving them, which further strengthened their enthusiasm and confidence. General Secretary of Jan Vikas Kranti, Dr. Himraj Singh addressed the participants He said: "Handloom is not just a textile, it is a symbol of India's cultural soul and self-reliance. Such competitions not only keep folk art alive, but also make weavers and women economically capable." At the end of the program, the organizers resolved that in the coming years too, folk art, indigenous products and rural talents will be encouraged through such activities. On this occasion, hundreds of local youth, women and social workers including Kumari Sneha Singh (Principal), Dhanji Kumar, Nazbun, Duja Kumari, Anup Kumar, Vikas Kumar (Volunteer, Mera Yuva Bharat) were present. Everyone appreciated the program and appreciated this effort to inspire handloom artisans.
