ARA---------------------------A one-day workshop was successfully organized on Pradhan Mantri Vikasit Bharat Rojgar Yojana and Mukhyamantri Pratigya Yojana in the Industry Department located in Vikas Bhawan today. The objective of this scheme is to provide practical experience and understanding of employment opportunities in various sectors to the youth, so that they can emerge as an industry-ready workforce.
On this occasion, the Minister of the Department, Hon'ble Shri Nitish Mishra said that Bihar is now fully prepared to take industrial flight. The Chief Minister Pratigya Yojana will give the state a strong identity on the national industrial map. While this initiative will create employment opportunities on a large scale, it will also create a trained and skilled workforce. Everyone will have to work together in this direction, so that the dream of developed India along with developed Bihar can be realized.
The Union Cabinet chaired by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi approved the Pradhan Mantri Vikasit Bharat Rojgar Yojana to increase employment generation, employment potential and social security in all sectors with special emphasis on the manufacturing sector. Under the scheme, while first-time employees will get one month's salary (up to Rs 15,000), employers will be given incentives for a period of two years for generating additional employment, with benefits for 4 years for the manufacturing sector.
Under the Mukhyamantri Pratigya Yojana, 12th pass trained or certified youth are provided internship opportunity and monthly stipend in the skill development training program of the Labor Resources Department—12th pass: ₹4,000/- per month, ITI/Diploma pass: ₹5,000/- per month, Graduate/Post Graduate pass: ₹6,000/- per month
For eligibility, the applicant must be a permanent resident of Bihar, age limit 18 to 28 years and minimum educational qualification should be 12th pass. In addition, those who do internship outside the home district but in Bihar will be given a subsistence allowance of ₹2,000 per month for the first 3 months and those who do internship outside Bihar will be given a subsistence allowance of ₹5,000 per month for the entire period. The youth selected under the scheme will be given an internship of minimum 3 months to maximum 12 months, in which at least 50% of the training will be practical. The Pradhan Mantri Vikasit Bharat Rojgar Yojana and Mukhyamantri Pratigya Yojana will provide employment-oriented skills, real work experience and financial support to the youth of the state, which will make them more competitive and self-reliant in the industry.
