A DISRICT LEVEL CONVERGENCE CUM BUILDING BLOCK BASED LEARNING AND SHARING WORKSHOP ORGANIZED

ARA----------------------------A district level convergence cum building block based learning and sharing workshop was organized at Shahid Vidya Bhawan located at Bhojpur District Rural Development Agency, the objective of which was to make the efforts of water, sanitation and climate change in the district more effective.

The workshop was inaugurated by Deputy Development Commissioner Mrs. Gunjan Singh (IAS) and Director Mr. Manoranjan Kumar Pandey (District Rural Development Agency) by pouring water in an earthen pot as a symbol of collective commitment to water conservation.

In this workshop organized with the technical support of Water for People India, the progress of the district was analyzed on the basis of 9 building blocks of water-sanitation.

Representatives of Panchayati Raj, PHED, Health, Education, MNREGA, Agriculture, Jal-Jeevan-Hariyali Mission, District Development Mission, Namami Gange and other departments participated in the workshop and shared local challenges and best efforts through group discussion.

Based on all the information, a joint action plan will also be shared with the stakeholders, which will give a new direction to system strengthening in the district.

The meeting concluded with a vote of thanks by District Coordinator Ranjay Kumar (District Water and Sanitation Committee). Faiyaz Iqbal (Technical Support Unit) DRDA, Abhishek Kumar (DPMU), Roshan Kumar CB&IEC (DWSC) and Amit Singh (Namami Gange) were present to make the workshop successful.
