ARA-------------------------Havoc of floods continues in Bihar and meanwhile, a 10 feet long gharial was seen in the flood affected area (Bihar Flood News) causing a sensation. Yes, a 10 feet long gharial has been seen on the banks of the Gandak river in Lalganj of Vaishali district. There was already a threat of flood in the area, now this giant predator has filled people with more fear.
The officials as well as the local people are surprised to see the gharial. The administration appealed to the people nearby to be alert and avoid going to the river bank. If the local people are to be believed, people often drown while bathing in the Lalganj Gandak river and many times even the dead body is not recovered. In such cases, there is also a possibility of gharial attack. It is worth noting that the water level of Ganga has increased due to heavy rains in Bihar. Floods have wreaked havoc in many districts including Patna, Buxar, Bhojpur, Begusarai. So far 26 people have died and 12 lakh people are affected. Local people say that crocodiles have been seen in Lalganj area for the last 3-4 years. In Bhagalpur, crocodiles have attacked 5 people earlier, in which many people were seriously injured.
