ARA---------------------------The flood in Bhojpur, Bihar has affected the life as well as the educational system. Waterlogging situation persists in many villages, making the safety of students and school operation a challenge. Keeping this in mind, the district administration has taken a precautionary step and decided to temporarily close the schools in flood affected areas.

Schools in flood affected areas closed till August 9: In view of the serious flood situation, the Bhojpur district administration has issued an order to keep all government schools in the flood affected areas of the district completely closed from August 5 to August 9, 2025. On the instructions of the District Magistrate, the block education officials have prepared a list of affected schools and sent it to the District Education Office. The list includes primary, middle and high schools of Barhara, Shahpur and Koilwar blocks.

The administration has clarified that during this period, the headmaster, in-charge headmaster and teachers of the affected schools will continue teaching in other nearby schools according to their respective student-teacher ratio. The purpose of this is that the studies of the students should not be interrupted and the sequence of education should continue.

The District Education Officer has instructed that if the effect of flood is seen in any other school between 5th and 9th August, then its information should be immediately given to the District Education Office, so that necessary steps can be taken in time. The administration says that caution is being taken regarding both the safety and education of the children. Every possible effort is being made to continue studies through alternative education system.
