While expanding the industrial areas in the state, approval has been given to develop them at 5 new places. For this, different places have been identified in Madhepura, Bakhtiyapur in Patna, Siwan, Saharsa and Madhepura. 2627 acres of land will be acquired at all these places, which will cost Rs 812 crore.

PATNA------------------------While expanding the industrial areas in the state, approval has been given to develop them at 5 new places. For this, different places have been identified in Madhepura, Bakhtiyapur in Patna, Siwan, Saharsa and Madhepura. 2627 acres of land will be acquired at all these places, which will cost Rs 812 crore.
This will develop employment opportunities in various sectors and strengthen the economic condition of the common people. This important decision was taken in the cabinet meeting held on Wednesday under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. In this, 30 important agendas were approved. Additional Chief Secretary (ACS) of the Cabinet Secretariat Department, Dr. S Siddharth gave information about the decisions taken after the meeting. In a press conference held in the auditorium of Information Bhawan, he said that apart from developing these 5 new industrial areas, Integrated Manufacturing Cluster (IMC) is being constructed under the Amritsar-Kolkata Industrial Corridor project being built in Dobhi, Gaya. For its expansion, 700 acres of land will be acquired in various mauza of Mohanpur zone and 600 acres in Fatehpur zone, i.e. a total of 1300 acres of land will be acquired. It will cost Rs 416 crore.
Dr. Siddharth said that 548.87 acres of land has been acquired in Vishvadi, Gwalpara and Udakishunganj of Gwalpara zone of Madhepura. It will cost Rs 41 crore 26 lakh. Similarly, 420.62 acres of land will be acquired in Vangaon, Devnagopal, Balhar Arazi (Bhelwa) mauza of Kahra zone of Saharsa at a cost of Rs 88 crore 1 lakh. Rs 113 crore 92 lakh has been approved for the acquisition of 167.34 acres of land in Atwa mauza of Mairwa zone of Siwan. 991 acres of land in Kusmauta Mouza of Begusarai will be acquired at a cost of Rs 351 crore 59 lakh and 500 acres of land in Saidpur, Bahadurpur and Tarachandpur Mouza of Bakhtiyapur in Patna will be acquired at a cost of Rs 219 crore 34 lakh. Land will be acquired at a cost of Rs 2 crore 60 lakh for the construction of an industrial area in 6.94 acres in Bairiya Mouza of Kateya region of Gopalganj. Apart from this, permission has been given to set up a textile mill in Guraru Industrial Area of Gaya at a cost of Rs 35 crore 14 lakh. This will provide employment to 237 workers.
OLS (Obstacle Limitation Surface) survey will be conducted to set up airports in Veerpur, Munger, Bhagalpur, Saharsa, Muzaffarpur and Valmikinagar of the state. For this, Rs 290 crore has been paid to the Airport Authority of India. Apart from this, 18 acres of additional land will be acquired to expand the runway of Gayaji Airport and CAT-I lights will be installed here. It will cost Rs 137 crore 37 lakh.
The state government has doubled the pension amount of JP freedom fighters in Bihar. Under this, the pension amount of those serving jail sentence from 1 to 6 months has been increased from Rs 7,500 to Rs 15,000. Whereas, the pension amount of those serving more than six months in jail has been increased from Rs 15,000 to Rs 30,000. The number of JP fighters currently receiving pension in Bihar is 3,354. In this, the number of those serving sentence of 1 to 6 months is 2186 and the number of those serving sentence of more than 6 months is 1168.
The state government has increased the honorarium of BLOs (Booth Level Officers) engaged in all election work from preparing voter list to other works. Under this, the honorarium of BLO has been increased from 10 to 14 thousand rupees. Whereas, the honorarium of BLO Supervisor has been increased from 15 to 18 thousand rupees.
All vehicles of emission standard Bharat Stage-1 and 2 will be given 50 percent discount in registration of motor vehicles on scrapping the vehicles through registration scrapper and submitting the certificate. With the implementation of this provision, vehicle owners will be able to avail the discount at the time of registration of new vehicle by scrapping their old vehicles.
The Education Department has reduced the attendance period in the financial year 2025-26 for students of classes 2 to 8 under the Chief Minister's Poshak Yojana and Chief Minister's Girl's Poshak Yojana. Now this year, the financial benefit of the scheme will be given only on the basis of 75 percent attendance in the period from 1 April to 31 July and the amount will be transferred to the accounts of the students through DBT. A database system is being developed to provide the farmers of the state the benefits of the agriculture department's schemes in real time and to provide information on weather-wise crop-wise production and forecast based on digital crop survey. All other systems including innovation, inclusion of technology are included under this. This system will be able to execute the works faster by establishing coordination with the departments.
Amendment has been made in Rule-14 (Telephone Facility) of Bihar Legislative Assembly (Salary, Allowance and Pension of Members) Rules, 2006. Under this, now the dignitaries will not have to pay the telephone or internet bill. They will be given a fixed lump sum amount for this.
