ARA----------------------Ahead of the assembly elections to be held in Bihar this year, 83 percent of the voters have submitted the counting forms under the Election Commission's Special Intensive Revision Campaign (SIR). Under this, people were asked for details including name, address, date of birth, Aadhaar number, voter identity card number.

The Election Commission on Monday released a major update regarding the Special Intensive Revision Campaign of the voter list in Bihar. The Commission has informed that by establishing direct contact with almost all the voters, the counting-form EF has been delivered to them and about 88.66 percent of the voters have submitted their counting forms. After the new update of the Election Commission, the controversy regarding this process can now flare up further. According to the current data, after this process, the names of more than 35 lakh voters may be removed from the voter list of Bihar.

According to the Election Commission, after two rounds of door-to-door visits by BLOs, 6.6 crore voters in Bihar have submitted their counting forms so far. This is 88.18 percent of the total voters in the state. According to the commission, voters have time till July 25 to submit their forms, after which the voter list will be released.

According to the data of the Election Commission, out of the forms submitted so far, 1.59 percent voters, i.e. 12.5 lakh voters, have died but their names remain in the list. On the other hand, another 2.2 percent, i.e. 17.5 lakh voters, have permanently moved out of Bihar and are no longer eligible to vote in the state. Apart from this, 0.73 percent, i.e. about 5.5 lakh voters have been found registered twice. Analysis of this data indicates that
