BHABHUA----------------------------Acting on a tip-off, a joint police and excise department team launched a thorough search near the SR Petrol Pump on National Highway 19 around 10:00 am on Tuesday. During the investigation, a container coming from Uttar Pradesh was intercepted and a large quantity of liquor hidden in large wooden boxes was recovered. The truck was brought to Durgavati police station, and when the liquor was counted, a total of 349 cases, or 3105 liters of liquor, was recovered. Giving this information, Kaimur SP Harmohan Shukla stated that in view of the elections, intensive raids and checks are being conducted to ensure that no one can smuggle in any narcotic substance or contraband. The liquor is estimated to be worth approximately 2.5 million rupees at market value. He added that a team was formed under the leadership of the Mohania DSP following the tip-off and achieved considerable success.
