2856 POSTS IN 11 CATEGORIES IN THE FOREST DEPARTMENT

PATNA-------------------------The process of filling vacant posts in the Forest Department in Bihar is going to start soon. A review meeting of departmental work was held on Thursday at Aranya Bhawan in Patna, chaired by the Minister of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, Pramod Kumar. Instructions were given to expedite the recruitment process for vacant posts under the department. Emphasis was also placed on paying special attention to the maintenance of fruit-bearing trees and parks operated by the department in the state.

The Minister informed that a total of 2856 posts will be filled through direct recruitment, including Assistant Conservator of Forests (31), Forest Range Officer (40), Forester (188), Forest Guard (1816), Stenographer (55), Amin (32), Lower Division Clerk (396), Office Attendant (17), and Driver (281). He also stressed the importance of planting fruit-bearing trees, trees related to biodiversity and the Navagrahas (nine planets) such as Jamun, Jackfruit, Brahma, Peepal, Banyan, Neem, etc., which are beneficial for health, and encouraged the public to participate in tree plantation drives.
