ARA------------------------The prohibition department is continuously conducting raids against liquor in Bhojpur. In this sequence, Assistant Commissioner of Prohibition Rajneesh received secret information that a large quantity of foreign liquor was going towards Patna from Uttar Pradesh by tractor. A team was formed under the leadership of Inspector Prakash Chandra regarding this.
During this, a large quantity of foreign liquor was recovered from Nayaka Tola Mod Khwaspur (Thana-Khwaspur). The registration number was not found marked on the tractor, due to darkness the driver was successful in absconding. A total of 1209.600 liters of foreign liquor in 6720 pieces was seized from the said vehicle.
The market value of the seized liquor was estimated to be around 15 lakhs. The raiding team comprised Inspector Prakash Chandra, Sub-Inspector Shivam Kumar Jha, Assistant Sub-Inspector Ravi Kumar and Assistant Sub-Inspector Rajkumar Raja along with Prohibition Constable, SAP and Home Guard personnel.
