ARA----------------------------Bhojpur district administration took major action against illegal sand business on Friday. On the strict instructions of the District Magistrate, the administrative team raided Chandi and Sandesh police station areas and sealed a total of 12 weighbridges.

According to the information, action has been taken against 09 weighbridges in Chandi police station area and 03 weighbridges in Sandesh police station area. The administration imposed a fine of ₹37,80,430 on them after the allegations of illegal sand storage and transaction were proved. Not only fine, but FIR has also been registered against all the weighbridge operators. The administration has made it clear that illegal sand business will not be tolerated at any cost in the district. The district administration has said that this action against sand mafias is just the beginning. Such campaigns will continue in future as well. No person involved in illegal business will be spared.
