BUXAR---------------------------A workshop was organized at the Dumraon sub-divisional fire station under the direction of District Fire Officer Vinod Kumar Yadav to raise awareness about the effective implementation of the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013. The objective of the workshop was to inform women employees about the provisions of the Act, their rights, and the grievance redressal process.

On this occasion, an Internal Committee was also constituted at the Dumraon fire station to address problems related to sexual harassment. Shikha Kumari, the Sub-Divisional Fire Officer, has been appointed as the chairperson of the committee, while Head Fireman Bhanu Pratap, Head Fireman Neeraj Kumar Neeraj, Firewoman Asha Kumari, and Firewoman Anjali Kumari have been nominated as members.

The workshop explained that women employees can now file complaints with the committee regarding any kind of objectionable behavior, harassment, or inappropriate conduct at the workplace. The committee will hear the complaint, conduct an impartial investigation, and ensure action is taken against the guilty party according to the rules.

Officials said that providing a safe, respectful, and positive environment at the workplace is the department's top priority, and such programs play a crucial role in this direction.
