ARA------------------------An elderly man riding a bicycle was crushed by an unknown vehicle near the Sarsiwan turn in the Dhobha police station area of the district on Saturday morning. He died on the spot. The incident caused widespread panic among the people.
Local villagers and family members were enraged by the incident. Demanding compensation, local villagers and the deceased's family blocked the road near the Sarsiwan turn. Traffic was halted for about three hours, with long lines of vehicles forming on both sides of the road.
Upon receiving the information, a police and administration team arrived and cleared the blockade after convincing the people. The police conducted a post-mortem examination at the Sadar Hospital. According to information, the deceased was Vijay Yadav, 58, son of Ramrup Yadav, a resident of Padminia village in the Krishnagarh police station area. He was a milk trader and ran his own dairy in Sarsiwan village.
